Rhode Island is definitely the colony to live in. We Rhode Islanders have a lot to say about our "island". The rich buy expensive clothes and fabric, rich woman wore dresses that were made of silk, lace, and velvet, the poor would sew their own clothes. Unlike Georgia the Rhode Island colony has magnificent education for our students, if the boys wanted to go to college they had to study the bible and learn science, after middle school the girls would learn how to run their own house. Some children helped out on the farm if their family owns one, they are home schooled. In Rhode Island you can choose any religion that you want, as long as it doesn't harm the city.
Most rich families had lofts and the kids would climb on ladders to get into bed. Our plates, silverware, and furniture were made mostly out of wood, while eating the parents sit down to eat and us children must stand to eat. The Georgia colony has several tornadoes a year, when in Rhode island it is very rare to have tornadoes, they have really hot summers when we have warm summers that are not too hot. Unlike Georgia,Rhode Island has no slavery, well, we had slavery for a short amount of time but then slavery was banished from Rhode Island, so no worries. |
